I am licensed as a therapist in both Florida and Tennessee. I have over twenty years of experience providing counseling to individuals, couples, families and groups through face-to-face and video conferencing.

Education
My background as a diabetes educator and someone who has lived healthy with diabetes for most of my life gives me credibility and sensitivity in providing both counseling and education to people living with diabetes and chronic illness.

I work with product engineers to determine user needs, software functionality, Instructions for Use, and Usability and Human Factors testing for diabetes-related products. I also design diabetes content for print, web and social media, including patient and physician training materials.

I design diabetes programs and clinical content for print, web and social media including development of patient and physician training materials, value-added marketing solutions and educational programs.
My Approach
My approach to my work is strength-based. As a therapist, my goal is to assist my clients in understanding the stressors in their lives and accepting what it takes to make positive change. As an educator, I believe with tools and education, people can be taught to help themselves. And, as a product developer and author, I see my goal as providing materials that make life easier for the people for whom they are designed.

I am a fun-loving, energetic and sensitive individual who enjoys my life and my work. I have spent my career finding ways to make people's lives a little easier through my counseling, education, and writing.
